I recently addressed a group of plumbers working in the Malaga area. I asked them what sort of documents they had in place to ensure payment from their customers. A couple said that they had Terms of Trade on their invoices. On looking, I saw that they had written “Payment Terms: 7 daysâ€. This is of no value, for 2 reasons: firstly, Terms of Trade need to be pre-disclosed, so an invoice is “after the horse has boltedâ€. Secondly, there are no consequences to impose if the customer does not pay. One guy said to me that he has credit card facilities. I asked him what would happen if the customer said that they don't have a credit card? The only way to have protection in place to pursue your customer for your money is if you have proper documentation in place.
At EC Credit Control we not only provide you with the correct documents and necessary small print, but once that is set up you can also qualify for free debt-collection, saving you time to do what you are qualified to do, and that is not debt-collection!
